Perrier-Jouët Champagne 200th Anniversary

To celebrate Perrier-Jouët Champagne brand’s 200th anniversary this year, luxury liquor supplier Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe has launched Bi-Centenaire – a special limited edition twin presentation box set. Only 100 pieces have been made and two are available exclusively in travel-retail and duty-free through Aldeasa–WDF’s specialist wine store, Wine Collection—Rare & Vintage, at London Heathrow airport terminal five.Priced at £10,000 ($16,345), the Perrier-Jouët Bi-Centenaire pack contains two magnums of 1998 Vintage Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque. The idea behind the twin set is that the purchaser can enjoy one bottle, while the second can be passed on as a family heirloom. A personal journal is included in the set so messages can be left for friends and relatives.Perrier-Jouët commissioned celebrated artist Daniel Arsham to design and sign this piece of artwork. He drew his inspiration from the distinctive flowers drawn by Art Nouveau artist Emile Gallé for the brand back in 1902, and from the interlacing of the vines.
